IRED: Searching for high-CRI wafer lights and finding absolutely zero, confining us to a life of desaturated red tones for the next ten years

Indeed. This is not an artist. This is a vapid, empty shell of an individual that’s just being used to rack up Spotify streams. I’ve seen AI-generated artists with more personality.

Mixed blessings. Warzycha had a great reputation amongst fans until those disastrous years at the end of his coaching tenure (though Bliss and the Hunts weren’t doing him any favors). Took 10 years for the rep to recover. You never want fans tossing pink slips at a club legend.

I think you’re right, although with someone like Moreira (or possibly JRR), there’s always the possibility that they picked up the option in order to get $$ from a sale.

That said, I think there’s a good chance Moreira takes the C next year, so I hope he sticks around for one more.

MLS is a cap league, dude. You can only outspend on 3 players. Everything beyond that is GAM/TAM, which you can’t just buy. Cincy is only spending more because they cashed in basically every chip they have for a shot this year.

Couldn’t disagree harder. I think he was elevated by Nagbe and contributes next to nothing in both attack and defense. He cycles the ball and that’s about it. If anything, Nancy’s system played to his strengths there - if we played direct I have no idea how he’d survive.

He is the stock definition of “replacement-level”, and a noticeable step down from a Morris, Artur, or even Trapp.

I mean, that’s just objectively wrong. The Haslems have been pretty solid as far as spending goes. We’re never going to spend like LA or Miami.

Don’t get me started on Chambost. Just because he has minutes and miles doesn’t mean they’re good minutes. He’s fine but doesn’t start on 75% of MLS teams.

It was only a “good” acquisition in context of a situation that Tall himself created (namely, fucking up two straight transfer windows without making a meaningful inbound transfer). That move, for that price, absolutely does not happen otherwise.

Dylan, man. I am well acquainted with your sunshine brigade view on this FO. It’s cool. I just don’t agree, and will never agree.

But there was very clearly a Nancy-sized window, and it was never going to last long. So never getting Nagbe a proper CM partner, panic-extending Gazdag, having no real CB’s… that happens in MLS. But to fumble the bag during such a unique period in the club is particularly disappointing.

I think this is where some newer #crew96 fans had a hard time understanding the frustration with Issa and the moves. It’s true that moving on from Morris, Cucho, et al was inevitable. And in a vacuum, needing a window or two to replace them is a reality for a club our size.
