I know I might be reading too much into this but to me it explains things like why Farage and Trump still have the support they do despite the fact that they're not even good at lying. Is it that people want to be a part of something bigger than themselves that they just don't care?

Like to me, Vox is a well written villain who I appreciate from that aspect but if he were real, I'd hate his guts. Same goes with Homelander in the Boys, again, we know he's full of shit, we know he doesn't care about his followers but so many people say they'd support him. I don't get it

Like to me, I'd hate myself if I fell for it. I always assumed the rise of Trump and Farage was due to stupid people falling for the bullshit, but I am wondering if they know its all bullshit and just want to be part of something they know is both a massive con and detrimental for their well being

... all sorts of videos and posts about the episode are of people saying they'd vote for him. Are they just being edgy or does it say something about the people around us that they don't get duped by cult leaders, but they voluntarily fall for the personality and the bullshit? Its completely alien
