That was certainly one of the endings of all time.

All that said I'm gonna finish it, and see what the devs end up making next. Some tightening on the writing would make something that's above 'decent but I ramble about how it annoys me'.

The last thing that annoyed me like this was UFO Afterlight and that was a doozy.

I read a bit on the steam forum and saw someone making a point that I agreed with - the writing is trying to be funny all the time, rather than actually building up comedy. It ends up coming off very shallow as a result.

I enjoyed Namako and Aina's characters, although Aina's relationship felt like an extended shitpost. Fossa was cool. Primrose had an interesting bit but they kinda ran it into the ground with the "SPLEEN" shouting. Antonio (supporting cast) was a neat little mobster guy.

Some characters did have special bonding activities and I thought those were interesting. Every weekend, you can go to a guy, get a tape and get Knute to write a review on some obscure film. Ocean reads your fortune for the week. You can lift weights with Ti (for no benefit afaik). Helped fluff them

A few of the characters that you get later in the game have interesting classes that I did start to rotate in, but the high durability enemy spam pushed me away from really experimenting. The timer expects you to be tight and I had a tight build.
