The center-left needs to rethink its civility fetish. Ezra Klein thinks Kirk did politics the right way? Only in the sense that conservatism is right-wing. Dude was awful.

Another one I never got around to playing back in the day, the Debussy sonata. Looking forward to cracking into this later today, maybe on the electric, though my real cello is getting jealous.

I finally did it. Never got around to writing a cadenza back when I played full time, so this is my very first.

Not high art or anything, but a fine first effort. If I were still teaching, I think I'd introduce cadenza writing earlier rather than later. Great exploration tool.
