Eric is the song’s composer and lyricist. Genres include pop, folk, indie, easy listening, and adult contemporary. The length is two minutes, twenty-eight seconds (2:28). “A few years ago, I met a woman at a Tampa coffee shop,” Eric said, explaining his inspiration for the song. “We brought our drinks outside to enjoy conversation in the nice weather. “She spoke of her recent conversion to Christianity — how joyful she felt. Even as noisy traffic buzzed by our spot, I remained mesmerized by her grace. As we parted ways, the song “Ant Farm” grew from my reflection of what could have been.” The song is not completely autobiographical, Eric shared. “Ant Farm" is a philosophical metaphor, open to the listener’s interpretation. He views “Ant Farm” as a metaphor for humankind. “Eric has written a beautiful song. His voice on his debut track “Ant Farm” heralds his transcendent, pure tone that compliments his exploration of a higher power.” – review by Johanna Huden, formerly of the New York Post. The recording features Eric on his guitar. He produced the recording in Florida and with production, mastering, and mixing by Josh Earls. “Ant Farm” is available on all the major platforms.
