And bad faith politicians claim “The govt is supplying free hard drugs to anyone who asks, including your kids!” anyway, so why hold back?

Pro tip, thanks! Haven’t been to Netherlands in years, but I suspect Amsterdam has been overrun w Instagram tourism, like so many iconic cities.

It’s always struggled with weekend partiers, so can’t imagine it’s improved in the last decade…

Several housing ministers in Canada have publicly admitted as much.

“We can’t take away these people’s retirement funds. Sorry young ‘uns.”

(I’m paraphrasing, but not exaggerating)

"He even went as far as to deny someone looking to board with an expired bus pass“.

Misdemeanours for me, but not for thee-ass mfer.

Larry Summers texts like a 14 year old!?!

Same topics, spelling, frequency. Dude ran Harvard and was Treasury Secretary.

If it’s under apple care, the second time they have to repair the same issue, it’s a new, free laptop for you (or something along those lines)

This happened to me a few years ago. And of course they no longer make the original, so they gift you the newest model. Worth asking about.

Heard a baby crying the other day, looked around. Someone was watching baby crying videos at top volume. I kid you not.

On one hand : Safdie bro directs!
On the other : O’Leary on the screen?

Tough tough call.

No single solution, of course. And I get it that homeowners have way more sway than young/renters/people who don’t live here yet.

But living in TO can’t be a “luxury“ available only to the top income earners & boomer retirees.

Amazes me that the Bloor line, which would be billions/km to build today, has 2 and three story buildings above it & nearby. Huge waste.

We need to tax low density near publicly funded infrastructure.

Want an estate lot? Move to King City.

A huge backyard within steps of the subway? Pay up.

Loved this, thanks for sharing. I am with you in the ridiculousness of exclusionary zoning.

I think one of the strongest (perhaps most effective) arguments against it is “value for taxpayers”.

We invested billions in subways, but restrict (in many ways, not just zoning) who can live nearby.

“Jail Fauci!” or something else he said? 😉

Even MTG says some normal-person stuff these days, it’s getting odd.

Thanks! Is RD single family detached?

Also: it doesn’t escape me that I have spent my entire adult life in the R (most permissive) zoning area, but the majority is single family - detached and semi - when there is huge demand for mid rise.

Zoning is a small part of the equation, afaict.

Hilary was not wrong when she said that the economy was booming in 2016.

But it was booming for her and the donor class, not so much for the folks who live paycheck to paycheck.

Thanks! What do R and RM stand for currently? Are they zoning rules or the existing built form?
