Finished Katabasis by RF Kuang this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the critical and cultural exploration of academia. It can truly be a hellscape.

We dined at Pineapple and Pearls last night for my birthday dinner. Our amuse-bouche was a crepe stuffed with caviar and cheese topped with edible gold leaf that you weren’t “allowed” to eat with your hands.
