Waiting for the bus near Blackfriars Station. Turned out I was in the wrong place but I did appreciate the cityscape while I waited.

My single speed bike and I heading into central London for a meeting. I'm taking this bike because I cannot take a bike inside the building where the meeting is taking place. I'm hoping this bike is less attractive than any of my other bikes to would be […]

Lovely day, albeit a bit wet at times, for a cycle ride in the morning. The autumn colours are lovely this year. This is the Worth Way, part of the National Cycle Network route 21 (London – Eastbourne via Redhill, Crawley, East Grinstead...). This photo was […]

Rode part of the Anillo Verde Ciclista (Green Cycle Ring), a 64 km loop of Madrid. Excellent segregated cycling paths! I only did about 16 km of it today (total of 32 km, there and back) but looking forward to doing more soon.

Yesterday was a lovely day for a cycle ride. Went out on the Worth Way and stopped to look at the natives.

Google maps believes there is a cliff at the end of the planned cycle ride to Canary Wharf, one which leaves me below sea level, i. e. under the Thames. 🤔

North France while driving (I'm not the driver 🙂) to Bordeaux from the UK. Misty day with wind turbines everywhere. I love them!

Although the weather was a little grotty this morning, with spitting rain, the ride was lovely. Went to Woodgate in Crawley to get some hills in.

Kent v Sussex @ Arundel.

I'm absorbing British culture. 😄

It's quite challenging, given the speed these balls are thrown at, to catch the batter with the ball in the same frame!

It was sunny first thing this morning so I went out for a ride on my bicycle. I decided I needed to do some hills. I hate hills (being from the Canadian Prairies 😉) but Sussex is not the flattest part of the UK by any stretch of the imagination. I need to […]

The newest housing estate (well, one of three) in Crawley (albeit technically not part of Crawley) is quite nice, with paths all around and through the estate.

Took my (new to me) single speed bike for a 15 km loop around town. Fun! I love the freedom of not worrying about gear changes.

In getting the bike prepped (pumping tyres, adjusting seat height and angle), I found that the rear tyre was too big for the frame […]

I love it when I am required to attend off-site meetings in London as it gives me an excuse to ride my bike further than normal on commute days (not that I need an excuse, mind you). Today it was a meeting at UCL East out in East London so 9.5km ride (with […]

Charity shop purchase. No choice: I simply had to give this bike a new home (mine!). Good condition single speed (or fixie).
