Built between 1990 and 1995, this McIntosh MC2600 is a monster of raw power : 2x600 watts of pure musicality without distortion or coloration. At 1/4 volume, it makes my 83kg (each) JBL4343 move alone! I bought it in Paris in absolutely perfect cosmetic conditions. His recapping is done!

Certainly one of the best transistor amps built by McIntosh. Not easy to find. But I was lucky enough to find this magnificent example in Germany. Technically & cosmetically perfect. Transparency, clarity, very dynamic transients and sweet warmth typical of the best McIntosh amps. #atome #mcIntosh

When I was a child, I could spend hours looking at and reading catalogs of audio equipment. I rediscovered that same pleasure when I read this magnificent book, soberly entitled Hi-Fi and published by Phaidon. Most of the marvels that have made audiophiles dream are beautifully photographed.
