I recently made a design that incorporated repair drones, and their storage location had its own access hatch to the exterior of the ship for hull repairs, but could also access the interior of the ship for other repairs. They were not extra large though!

yeah, assault mechanics - the extra D6 you get for successive attackers - was always a weak point of 2nd edition. not thrilled that LI keeps that rule

Since then I've been pretty into it with Gurps Traveller, mongoose traveller 1e and 2e, and even T20 briefly. I missed out on the old school LBB era, but I really enjoy the "modern" edition

Marc MIller's Traveller (T4) was the first edition I purchased. I had buddies in the navy that tried to get me into it, but I never bit. I think it was the beautiful Chris Foss cover art that sold me honestly :)
