This system was put in place to prevent big money from out of state influencing campaigns. The best part of this system is that the smaller the donation, the more public money candidates receive. Small donations get matching public funds that are around $12:$1; larger donations are more like $6:$1.

I also just goes to show you that you should never trust organizations by default without looking into their background and history first.

@progresschamber.org is apparently an organization that isn't really progressive.

Many in the Netherlands drive sure, but they don't make every trip by car. They will probably drive to work, then cycle to the market for food.
