I was browsing pictures of my 2024 (the ancient era) vacation to NC. This sign felt hyperbolic, but so ominous of the current situation.

These two (audio-)books basically cover the last 65 years of Democrat campaigning, policies and exercise of power. The first one makes you nostalgic of when politicians (from both sides) could show nobility; the second one makes you reflect on the future. I loved both very much.

This is an excerpt from An Unfinished Love Story (Doris Kearns Goodwin, Simon & Schuster, page 333). The quote is from 1967, but it sounds so much like 2024…
