She’s one of my favorite writers and the Ripley books are so striking. In the first 50 pages, I’ve learned this book is about an awful person. I’m not sure I want to live in her world for the next two weeks to gain context on books that have a strong hold on my imagination.

Vuh-like intense moments of intense “vibes” beyond what a single guitar should provide. Hardly introspective Fahey redux, a heady journey. Jack Rose’s name shall be whispered among the greatest creators with master plans. Those who know, know better than me. I’m just a dude on my couch, wide open.
