Transit options are worse, but the West End is so much better for walking than Yaletown. In Yaletown, you have the constant traffic noise and pollution and have to wait for traffic lights at every intersection.

One thing I like when I was in Valencia was that when you unlock your bike from the app, you see the rating other people give each bikes so it was easy to see if a bike might work but not smoothly and prioritize bikes with the full 3 stars. I'm in Vancouver now and so many bikes don't work well...
