An advantage of living on the west coast of N. America is that we get to watch these races over a very early, but leisurely breakfast, without interfering with the rest of the day, lol.

Depends on how much you're willing to suffer day of event. Having never run further than a half, I did my first marathon after only doing one 3 ish hour long run about two weeks before. The last 5k were hard but I finished with a respectable time. Pacing and fueling properly will be important.

Schrieber's dominance today was spellbinding, really happy for her. Holding off Brand at the end made more interesting having watched her being interviewed by Brand (and Rochette) on their Youtube podcast just a few days prior.
