Great I haven't read either of these books, but I recently read 2312 by Kenneth Stanley Robinson, phenomenal sci-fi world building. Man in the High Tower (Japan & Germany win WWII)
Also Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (Blade runner movie) both by Philip K. Dick are two all-time favorites.

A5. Kara and the Sun,by Ishiguro (2021) POV solar powered caregiver robot. The Ministry of Time, by Bradley, time travel. The 2312, by Kim Stanley Robinson, amazing world building. Isaac Asimov's short story collection iRobot from the '50s surprisingly relevant to AI issues. #TWSOchat

Yes! I used Ask Jeeves too, I wonder if younger readers will wonder 'is this Jeeves person a smart room mate?'

A1. Poetically I like exploring where science, love and magic intersect. Science author Alan Lightman inspires me with his layperson, often poetic, science explanations in Probable Impossibilities, musings on beginnings and endings. Washington Post called him 'poet laureate of science'. #TWSOchat

A1 I'm introducing a 2001 setting via technology. Use of a Blackberry and a tiny Ericcsson flip phone, Blackberries were still only for email and BBM or PIN(messaging). Napster for downloaded music, Yahoo! Weather.

Is this audio broadcast? or a series of posts in the app that I could follow? (And maybe reply or comment)
