Honestly, you probably dodged a bullet on that decision, cause uhhhh, Sanbando wtf do you mean you made nearly 1 gb's worth of Flandre getting persuaded. There is no gameplay fluff btw, I literally edited it down to JUST be the convos, it is ACTUALLY 30 minutes worth of optional dialogue

It after many MANY years finally got a localization and yes, is on Steam, Highly recommend, easily one of my favorite games ever made

It holds a very strong reputation, especially in Japan for being one of the best Touhou fan games, period

Game is Fantasy Maiden Wars. A Tactical RPG that retells the events of EoSD up to UFO (+print works and side games) as a cohesive narrative. The writing is some of the best I've read from many Touhou fan games and the devs very clearly love the series given the amount of little details and quality

It mostly says that cause the Library makes a fine line that PC-89 and Windows are different eras with different mindsets in why and how they were made for the potential newer or not well versed in Touhou knowledge people playing this

It really is hard to describe why I personally feel this game is so special without sounding like I'm shitting on every other well crafted and amazing fan game, simply put it really just hits different

This isn't to say other fan games don't also have this level of love/care put into them or that they "don't get" Touhou. Its just more so that there's this indescribable realization you get playing from the level of care in its writing and characterization this game was made with exceptional care

I'll always feel this game is a great introduction to the series simply cause you can feel the sheer love the creators had for this game in all aspects. Yeah its characters are told through their lens, but what fan game isn't.

The resemblance IS quite uncanny to be honest

If Sambando is anything, it's the kings of one upping themselves

The Yuuka fight is so funny, cause it's Sanbando trolling the the playerbase's optimal meta for boss fights after 7 years and 3 prior games. She will literally 1 up you, flip you off and bully you mentally with each follow spell card, for the final official Touhou character you fight, it's perfect.

I assumed I had too which is why I made 2 saves at 70. Guess now I don't gotta warn people to do that now.

It was worth it cause Route A has both Lounge and NG+ exclusive Dialogue and some were really cute (Also [REDACTED] And M**** both have unique lines for killing the A Final Boss like everyone)

Wait you didn't make 2 saves after CH70?

I assumed the achievement for beating the Protagonist route of choice would require the A Route ending, since the B Route has its own achievement... your telling me you just get both at the same time beating B Route?!

Especially given the JP switch version (which the steam version is based on) has been out since 2022 so like... the only issues I can think of is like licensing with Nintendo to publish the game outside JP on other regional Eshops, or the code for the switch version somehow being harder to fuck with
