Also rare for an attorney to object to everything in the rebuttal portion of closing on the off chance that one of the objections might land.

All this does is make me want to get a doctorate in drag queens and offer a course at their colleges.

"Unsavory."

You have an inspiring gift for understatement.

Winning hearts and minds.

It's very good. I've used it often. It is only paint, but exceptionally wide for that.

That said, it takes someone special to see an article about vague "more crashes" leading some to reconsider right on red and immediately go to BIG BICYCLE TRYING TO HOLD ME DOWN.
November 24, 2023 at 5:50 PM
I would like to see a lot more bike-friendly streets.

But then the bikers on my street, which has a very nice bike lane all the way into our beautiful downtown, ride three abreast in the lane instead of using the bike lane.

Then I just want to burn it all down.

BOTH SIDES! THEY'RE THE SAME! ONE WOULD HAPPILY LOCK ME IN A CAMP, THE OTHER WON'T GIVE ME EVERYTHING I WANT WITH THE SNAP OF A FINGER, THEY'RE ALL THE SAME!

Consider trying NOT to alienate anyone who really wants to be an ally.
November 24, 2023 at 5:45 PM
Why would I need to be in personal danger to give a shit what is going to happen to this country and people in it that I love very much?

The idea anyone is so insular they wouldn't care about others is loathsome. Your "points" are becoming horrifying very quickly.

American "conservatives" (MAGA) in 2023 are not likely to listen to reason and vote against Trump. What is talking to them instead of trying to shore up the votes of people who should naturally be against Trump going to do?

Vote for Biden or don't. But there's a consequence if we don't.
November 21, 2023 at 7:40 PM
Which leaves even more tension - at what point do we look at someone's course of action and say, "Yes, of COURSE he intended exactly that consequence, let's not be silly here," as opposed to, "Well, he was careful enough, even though it's AWFULLY suspicious..."

Not a question with an easy answer.

Carrying the credenza, which it was going to throw into an engine of the plane if you didn't accept, reject, and/or feign indifference to Jesus.
November 15, 2023 at 6:53 PM
And to end the whole motion on what they did.

I've seen plenty of bad faith arguments in two decades +. I've seen plenty of taking statements out of context in extreme bad faith to support arguments already made in bad faith.

I've not seen any worse examples than those last couple paragraphs.

Westlaw searches while they were writing this:

"Expert opinion on all legal and factual conclusions"

"Judge said no to me"

"Gag order in response to repeated crying like a baby"

"Hot amateurs in my area" [OOPS WRONG SEARCH BAR]

"Can judge's clerk do research for judge"
November 15, 2023 at 6:20 PM
Exactly this. They've filed something to feed to voters, not to attempt to obtain legal relief.
November 15, 2023 at 6:12 PM
Oh, look, it's time once again to punish the country by acting like Dems are responsible for losses of rights orchestrated by Republicans just because of timing. Hooray, this will surely go well.
November 6, 2023 at 10:45 PM
Like I replied to Akiva, definitely not in the current world we live in, by the definition of conservative in America. I'm "conservative" in comparison to these all the way left, communism still seems neat types, sure.
October 27, 2023 at 2:08 PM
In a sane world, I might be "conservative." The same world where Joe Biden would probably rightly fall on the progressive end of conservative.

In this America, by current definitions? Not so much.
October 27, 2023 at 2:05 PM
No.
October 27, 2023 at 2:04 PM
They can't be.

The Party hasn't had a meeting to decide whether to assign a committee to be mad at you.
October 27, 2023 at 2:21 AM
"A pretty good director, but no Leni Riefenstahl."

"A pretty good actor, but no John Wilkes Booth."

"Not a bad painter, but no young Adolf Hitler."

This is baffling.
October 21, 2023 at 4:24 AM
I read everything more as "I need a hot take RIGHT NOW so I'm just going to choose what I want to believe to keep my narrative going, instead of sitting back and refraining from contributing to a bunch of extra strife in the world."
October 18, 2023 at 4:07 PM
Wait...

Has The Critic finally come back around?

Is it streaming somewhere?

I have one kid who I think would love it.
October 17, 2023 at 2:35 AM
That's the one that got me, too. I mean, plenty of others that are nearly as bad, but that one really shines a light on the whole person.
