You’re right but ultimately Farrell is just going to dig in and convince himself that winning today shows that his setup is right. They got Sexton in just to be Prendergast’s personal coach so there’s no chance they change course.

Nienaber has absolutely nothing to do with the Ireland team. If the Ireland team is badly coached then it’s the fault of the Ireland team. You have to be really dumb to not see that this whole thing is Farrell talking to his buddies in the media to deflect attention after last week.

This whole thing reads as the IRFU state media finding a scapegoat in order to deflect blame, knowing full well that blaming a foreigner will play well to a certain demographic.

Creating hyper athletic players was supposed to be one of the things that Nucifora was doing. Shockingly it turns out he might have been a chancer who improved nothing in the country.

You’re literally saying that Prendergast is above criticism after a horrendous performance. If you figure out these basic things in your own head then you probably just don’t have a clue.
February 6, 2026 at 3:48 PM
Yeah I think you’re one of the people he’s referring to as being the problem.

Clarkson has repeatedly shown that he’s not up to international level. He was lucky not to concede a couple of scrum penalties in the first half.

If I’m France, I would much rather face a 2nd row pairing of Ryan & Beirne for the last 30 instead of McCarthy & Edogbo. Beirne will have to go the full 80 again as there aren’t many other jackal threats in that 23.

Kind of similar tackle to the ones that got the Boks red cards the last few weeks so I assume that the messaging internally down there was that these types of tackles should be no penalty.

We didn’t score a single try at 15v15. We got one try from a penalty & Crowley moving to 10 and proceeded not to come close to getting another the rest of the match.
November 22, 2025 at 11:17 PM
We were at no point the better side. The forwards couldn’t carry the ball at all & the attack was only ever going side ways. Multiple times they got a penalty to get 5m out and couldn’t punch it in. The scoreline was flattering.

You’d imagine that Schmidt will be happy to see the lack of carriers & jackalers in the pack and the choice at 10.
November 13, 2025 at 3:01 PM
Hopefully they don’t say to themselves “let’s ignore the issues, don’t try to improve and end up like the Welsh”.
November 2, 2025 at 3:53 PM
If Cullen is sending out guys who are not prepared to play a competitive match or don’t care or something then that is a damning indictment of him.
October 19, 2025 at 12:37 PM
It was the same Leinster pack as last week’s match with two international 2nd rows brought in, one of which has been playing at international level the last while. I just think that rustiness, settled sides, injuries had little to do with as there wasn’t actually much difference between the two.
October 19, 2025 at 12:36 PM
Leinster did play preseason games & all but 4 of their 23 yesterday had played competitive minutes this season.
Munster also made 10 changes from last week and they had made around the same number from the week prior.
October 19, 2025 at 12:09 PM
It was only like 4 Leinster players playing their first match of the season so I don’t think rust had much to do with it. And if it’s a case of these guys not being ready to play while Beirne is, then questions should be asked of the coaches & the players and their preparation.
October 19, 2025 at 12:04 PM
Beirne didn’t look rusty despite it being his first match of the season.

Buddy it was a complete dive. Grow up a bit.

From the players he has picked for the last several years. This is not some state secret.
July 13, 2025 at 3:19 PM
Your guy Baird has missed two tackles in the first 5 minutes here, pal. Literally on the opening kickoff he was in his ass.
July 12, 2025 at 6:08 PM
You’re just picking out the stats & opinions you want to back your pre determined opinion and ignoring stuff that upsets you. The original post had nothing to do with Baird or Leinster but you started crying because god forbid some non Leinster players ever be praised. Sad stuff from you really.
July 6, 2025 at 2:28 PM
Coombes & Timoney are from different provinces. Baird did very little as he tends to do for Ireland. Low tackle numbers, not much carrying and the like. Had a couple of offloads which makes people think he did stuff. Maybe stop showing your provincial bias.
July 6, 2025 at 10:09 AM
I understand that Farrell wants this big kicking game now but these packs that can’t carry & such a passive 10 in Prendergast is creating an ineffective attack that is largely hoping for mistakes & individual moments of brilliance. Crowley keeps showing that he can drive them on so much better.
July 5, 2025 at 7:07 PM
Whole point of picking these third/fourth choice players is that they know the system & have cohesion so there’s not excuse for the guy not performing.
