I was playing with an interactive piece I created back in 04. Most of it was less than inspiring, but one section has you loading a disk and viewing images (QT VRs) by dragging them out of the screen. I liked it enough that I thought I would try building something similar in StudioCard.

I love these funky little Hypercard stacks. So weird... so cool.

Started creating a demo to test how a point and click story game could work in StudioCard... and now I think I might want to make an actual game out of it.

Before this all started I just wanted a way to play the original Cosmic Osmo. Emulators crashed, and my old Macs either didn't have a disc drive or the ability to go into BW for the transitions to work. Now I'm playing it in StudioCard from an HFS disk image...

I had never seen or heard of this stack until last night. It makes use of a few HyperCard hacks that I don't plan on supporting (I have alternatives), and the author wrote some of the code in ways that forced me to clean up some StudioTalk parsing code.

Spent some time testing the workflow for creating an animation from a sprite sheet. Still tweaking the UI/UX, but its getting there. StudioCard is a lot of HyperCard with splash of Director thrown in.

StudioCard supports most of the same capabilities in VideoWorks to allow for clip animations. The ship animation was recreated not imported...

At some point I'll get screen recording with audio to work again...

Rewriting the 'Chunker' code for StudioCard. Being able to read directly from a disk image has made compatibility checking so much easier. I have a read/write disk image mounted in Basilisk, that HyperCard saves to and StudioCard reads from. Magic.
