Is it the believe that facts should stand on their own and discredit the nonsense? Of course the rise of the populist right is counter intuitive, but we also know what emotion is a stronger motivator than logic.

People are only in a position to criticise the government’s performance because it was successful. Our economy survived the biggest crisis since WWII, yet here we are, collectively whining.

I’m just one individual, but I made the switch today and deactivated that old account. It is refreshing to purge all the US based content I had accumulated so that I can start fresh with a Canadian and local perspective.
