UPDATE: As you're shopping for last minute snack and treats for tonight's Superbowl -- keep in mind prices under President Donald J. Trump continue to rise.

Egg prices are up 32% since Biden was in office. Went up nearly 20% in 1 week.

I refuse to accept that our state and national Democrats can continue to overlook the Valley—especially when so many have plenty to say about us. I raised hell when our community was left out of the conversation about the next Texas Democratic Party Chair.

I started keeping track of prices after the 2024 Election. Here's an update on how prices are going now that Trump is in office. Share away!

If Democrats want to take back the narrative on immigration and our border -- we need to stop being afraid of it and take it on with facts, NOT fear. What Republicans & MAGA are saying is the total opposite of what's actually happening. Check out my YouTube video on this.

If what Pres Musk & VP Trump does - from hand/arm motions to describing groups of people - doesn't bother you or you think it's okay...Go do that sh*t in front of your boss or HR & let me know if you still have your job.

Don't excuse vile behavior because it fits your politics. Grow some morals.

In a world full of pathetic companies like #Target, be an #HEB.

Thank you, HEB, for believing in diversity, equity, and inclusion of ALL. For having a spine. Companies like yours make this Country a better place!

Been to various parts of our TX/MX border, and it's all the same. This rusting, incomplete "wall" is a waste of our taxpayer money. 80% of fentanyl enters via ports, 90% of vehicles go unchecked, and U.S. drug use fuels the crisis. Let’s focus on real solutions based on facts, not fear.

At the Texas Capitol talking to legislators about important issues that matter most to our communities in the Valley & across Texas —housing, education, healthcare, & so much more. Grateful for the chance to advocate for our communities and push for real change with some great Texas Representatives.

Spent this #mlkday marching with my friends at @lupe_rgv in opposition to what lies ahead. We marched in protest but we're harassed but MAGAts in their cars -- sore winners if you will. Those people carry a darkness in their heart and soul even if they get their way. They think they own 🇺🇲.

Excited!! I know people are focused on TikTok right now, but want to share my 2nd op-ed that got published today in the Austin American-Statesman that is focused on ensuring our kids don't go hungry during the summer -- something Greg Abbott refuses to address.

Had a chance to learn about border security, drug trafficking, and immigration data today in El Paso.

Key takeaways that counter right-wing narrative:

80% of fentanyl seizures at ports involve U.S. citizens.

Most drugs are seized at ports of entry.

Grateful for those on the front lines!

One of my top priorities this session: making sure no kid goes hungry during summer. Gov. Abbott refused $450M in federal funds—our own taxpayer dollars—to feed kids, costing the State almost nothing. They yell “PROTECT OUR KIDS” but do the opposite.

Ending 2024 by lighting a candle at the St. Brigid alter at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Praying that our communities are protected from harm in the coming years and that we're uplifted in all aspects of our lives. I hope everyone is having a great New Year's Eve. ⛪️🕯🙏🏽

Sharing photos from a rally with Second Gentlemen Douglas Emhoff in San Antonio back in October. I got to meet him and take a photo with him, but those who did never got their photos from his team 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ -- here's some photos with other great people I got to hang with!

Every trip to DC is about advocating for Texas communities. I work to bridge the disconnect between 'DC world' and the realities our Hispanic/Latino communities face, especially in South Texas. Policymakers need to hear our stories to make meaningful changes that work for us.
December 12, 2024 at 11:11 PM
The disrespect of Hispanic/Latino voters is not the way to go. We are the growing majority and will soon (if not already) have the numbers to be the deciding factor in elections. I see people from non-Hispanic/Latino backgrounds having a lot to say about us.

Yes, this past Black Friday consumers spent $1 billion more than they did last year and that contributes to the idea that the economy is "booming". Only thing is that credit card debt is about 11% higher than it was last year. Consumers are taking on debt to pay for goods & services.

I'll say it again -- the voter mandate is HIGHER WAGES, LOWER COSTS.

These extremist right-wing bills that target immigrants & disenfranchised communities are not what voters want. Don't think for a second that voters won't hold Republicans accountable in 2026 or 2028 if they can't lower prices.
November 22, 2024 at 6:11 PM
The 2024 election and its results were a mandate on the economy. Texans expect their lives to improve through lower costs. These right-wing extremist bills that the GOP is filing in the TX Legislature don't improve Texans' pocketbooks. We will hold them accountable in 2026 WHEN they fail to deliver.
