A nice start to our Christmas by popping out to support local Union Starbucks workers who *still* do not have a contract since before this kid was born

At $40 for 9th row Disney on Ice felt like a steal. The performers are incredibly talented, and some of the aerial stuff had us so nervous!

Thankful that I could walk the picket line for a few hours today with United Auto Workers in Hudson, WI at a GM parts distribution center.

If you haven't been following this labor fight I suggest you tune in, and heck even show up in Hudson or Plymouth, because it has lessons for all of us.

You never know what you don't know. Thanks to the local library I learned of a new piece of MN history that must seem well known to others due to a constructed Memorial and rekindled attention. It was the story of an awful June 1920 lynch mob once lost and nearly forgotten. Terrible injustice.

I have never been around a quirkier cast of characters then when I grew up around and was later a member of the St. Anthony club. Led by the McNamara's bar namesake, it was mostly a bunch of old timers and "stray cats", not able to compete with the modern clubs it eventually sold and was demolished.

We are very fortunate to have a free splash pad within walking distance. She was hesistant of the water for a while but since we have started baths in the tub (more toys/fun) she is happy to venture out and enjoy this too.
