On Josefina Ramirez Nottsineh’s birthday, the effort to rename the Seymour Park playground in her honor is moving forward. We’re getting closer to the fundraising goal, and every donation helps honor her legacy and invest in a community space for families.

Today we remember transgender and non-binary peoples who have suffered unspeakable violence, and we honor those who have lost their lives. Violence against anyone is not and will never be acceptable. The recent attacks in our community will not be tolerated.

We are Stronger Together.

Today's joint City/County meeting was a success. I’m proud that my call to bring leaders from the Sacramento Region together was answered.

Together, we took an important public vote to create a multi-governmental body to work on homelessness.

This week I toured The Gateway site on Stockton Blvd. This new 196-unit mixed-income project is a big step in revitalizing the Boulevard and will bring much needed housing to the Blvd. These projects happen through strong city, county, and community partnerships.
