Kudos! I've deleted the bird and fb apps (not the accounts, I'm paranoid someone will pick up my username and pretend to me), but I'm having a hard time leaving the gram. Too many people I still follow that I want to keep up with that haven't come over to bsky yet.

That’s not how it works. Anyone can cover and release her songs. You just need to credit the original artist/writer so that royalties flow correctly for streaming, or in the case of downloads and physical media, obtain a mechanical license.

And she’ll probably use the money to buy under privileged kids some books, clothes, and food.

We didn’t have to imagine, it’s exactly what they said they’d do. They even wrote a play book on the steps that would be taken. But half the country voted for it anyway.

Dude, I was just thinking about this today! My prices are definitely going up this year. I have a full time job, so I’m not going to starve if I don’t make a sale. And raising my prices should help other artists to justify their own increase.
