Pt. 2 - Didn't expect it to jump ahead into full on addiction so fast. Really liked how everyone seemed to just be tired of Bruce's crap.

I also only just keyed in that this is written by Dan Abnett. Makes me wonder how much this was inspired by his 40k writing and vice versa.

Pt. 1 - Very beautifully drawn, I haven't read any Batman comics from this era before. Enchanted by the art.

Seeing Bruce struggle so much with failure is super relatable to me right now. Should have done more, done better.

All of these were worked on during the two year absence from YouTube. I had always planned to come back, but just never got anything across the finish line for various reasons.

Jedi Survivor video script was being worked on in Summer/Fall 2023, Deathloop in Early 2024.

In conversations at my workplace others have pointed to these design decisions as intentional jokes, and that removing them would undermine the humor of the experience. (I do not personally find these funny, but I appreciate that others do and I respect the gumption to make the player the heel.)

I haven't played enough Silksong yet to know if it contains this. But, I would point to Elden Ring as an example of a game with intentional 'gotcha' moments that are absolutely intentional, and thereby good design, but that I also find infuriating and dislike personally.

Bad design, to me, is any design that contradicts the intended player experience. For instance, a 'tough but fair' type game including moments of outright unfairness that seem unintentional.
