Our ribosome profiling results indicate translation of a fraction of the incoming viral mRNAs (as soon as 1h post-infection), confirming findings from a previous work (nature.com/articles/s41...).

Our results indicate a moderate effect of infection on overall mRNA translation rates but a strong effect on transcript and protein levels. Most effects are concordant but several functional classes of genes display discordant effects at the transcript and protein level.
