I dissent. I resist. Your validity and worth is innate.

Being on tiktok this past week has been like the last night of summer camp every day.

Yesterday I drove for 10 hours. Made the radical decision to not let people know I was driving so they could call me. Didn’t spend the time listening to a productive audiobook. Instead let the time just be for me. Deconstructing from overfunctioning continues to be revelatory.

I’m holding out hope for tiktok, but also remembering that every time I’ve been forced to change, it has moved me to a better place. I hope that holds true for the many folks who depend on tiktok for their livelihood and community.

If I could give one gift to all people (mothers in particular), it would be the gift of radical lack of need for validation from anybody.
