A fake orange pumpkin with an air sculpted clay face that’s not yet finished. So far it has a strong cleft chin, lips, a large nose, and eyeballs but no eyelids or eyebrows yet. Those will be added later. To the left bottom corner is the tub of air dry clay I’m using and there’s a small red paintbrush on the table I’ve been using to wet the clay and keep it soft enough to sculpt.

Caterpillar (maybe a Gulf fritillary?) on my Maypop (Purple Passionflower, Passiflora incarnata) vine!

Caterpillars mean butterflies soon! 🦋
Three-lobed, dark green leaves and tangled tendrils of the maypop/purple passionflower vine. Caterpillars have been eating the leaves and holes can be seen in a few of them, one caterpillar (Tawny orange with greenish stripes and long, black, branched spines) is seen on the inside of a leaf to the left. The vine is growing on a black metal arbor, grass on the ground and peach tree leaves in the upper left corner can be seen on the in the background of the image.

Has anyone used cookie cutters to “stamp” icing? My kids want to color these with some food dye markers I got and I was thinking I could do all white icing, stamp with the same cutters just to leave the lines for them to color in. But I don’t have much cookie icing experience 🤔
Sugar cookies that have been cut and stamped to look like Super Mario characters, from Top Left to right, 1up mushroom, a Bob-omb, Boo, Boo, Toad, Goomba, Yoshi, Yoshi, Goomba, 1up Mushroom, Toad, Super Star, Bomber Bill, Bob-omb, and a Super star. The cookies are still on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper, and are cooling on top of a black glass stop stove.
