Erica Makes It All
@ericamakesitall.bsky.social
Avid knitter, quilter, gardener from CA-47. Always dragging my knitting through Disneyland.
I spent my morning with this guy, then swapping whale watch stories with a naturalist. Trying to hold onto any little bits of joy I come across. (Now to figure out how to edit underwater photos…)

I snapped this on Monday. Absolutely stunning day.

We have two and they don't have the slightest bit of attitude. They spend their days snoozing on quilts and taking on neighborhood watch duty. One follows me around the house and jumps in my lap the moment I sit, and at night at least one of them sleeps pressed up against my stomach.

Same! I’ve seen it a few times, too.

I was quite surprised to show up at my parents house to find this baby owl in a box. They found it on the ground in their yard along with two dead siblings. Luckily we were able to get this guy over to a wildlife rehab place. They report that it is doing quite well.

Here are some wild otters frolicking in the ocean off Monterey. My kiddo and I got to watch them for almost an hour.

@darrenpardee.dissky.com - thanks for the Folks dinner recommendation! We went last night. The tomato/cheese/bread was unbelievably good. Had to order a boring pizza due to the picky child, but it was still great.

I just found my son’s beloved bear using a booster to sit at the dining room table.

There's so much power that comes from including kids in protests. This is what I did in 2017, trying to get our previous congressional rep to meet with us. He’s grown up knowing that he can use his voice for good, he’s an expert canvasser, plus he made some amazing friends.

This was the back of mine this evening. It feels very chaotic.

Post-vacation reentry has been tough, but getting back to our usual routine feels good.

This trip to Aulani has reinforced that I’m much more of a Disneyland person than a Disney vacation person. But the lazy river is absolutely top notch.

I just finished binding off the body on this cardigan today. Lace fronts and collar, and the entire back is also lace. Thankfully the sleeves are plain so they should zip right along.

What are you going to make? I just finished these three beanies for my kiddo’s teacher and her two daughters.

Knitting during kid activities is one of my favorite things to do. Today I’m watching my kid rock climb (he’s on the wall in the background) while working on a new sweater.

Bought my husband a LEGO DIY version.

I started collecting them before Jack was born. My dining room doesn’t have a china cabinet - it has a LEGO modular cabinet.

Coming to the end of Tudor Corner, this year’s LEGO modular building. Every year LEGO releases a new modular. These buildings are extremely detailed and are made to snap together to create cityscapes. They are always my favorite build of the year.
