The statue of Pasteur in Paris faces the Invalides where Napoleon is buried. This is apt as one fought germs, while the other fought Germans.

Sorry Google and @wikipedia.org but this is not correct. Half of the Nobel prize was awarded to Penrose for the mathematical theory of black holes; the other half to Genzel & Ghez for their study of Sgr A*. (Thanks

Apparently we’ve been observing transiting exoplanets all wrong…

Coldest giant *exoplanet* found to date, of course!

JWST has detected infrared light from the coldest giant planet found to date - and it orbits a white dwarf, causing the white dwarf to dip in brightness by ~50% every orbit: arxiv.org/abs/2504.16982

Here is my alternate model with uncertainties which goes through all of the data points at less than 1-sigma, save four.

The planet TOI-2015b hosts a planetary companion, TOI-2015c, but not the one previously announced. High-precision radial velocity (MAROON-X) + transit-timing variations (TESS+) reveal a planet companion near a second-order resonance with the transiting planet. arxiv.org/abs/2502.07074
