But also, you can't expect someone to "fight for you" straight out of the gate, and you can't test someone to see how they will react to hardship in the future. That's manipulation and incredibly toxic. The "fight" comes after the trust is already earned and hardships test you both naturally.

Loved this book, such an original concept! Audiobook was well done too. Made an 8 hr drive so much easier. Thanks! I do miss seeing your poetry posts though 💚
