I remember watching SNL when I was 14 just to see Power Station play. We didn’t have a VCR at the time, so I recorded the audio on a cassette and played that over and over and over.

Well, a little bit less of Bastille and way more of Duran, not to mention introducing him to Nile Rogers. He was shocked at how many songs Nile had his hand in that my nephew knew. “That was him too?” Hahahaha.

Right, I need some heavy guitar in my DD again. That’s why I go back to the OG 1981 all the time
November 25, 2025 at 7:39 PM
Funny side note: we took my 14 Y/O nephew to see DD & he didn’t know why DD was the headliner because Bastile had more streaming numbers. I had to explain that DD didn’t have the numbers because their fans owned the physical media. Blew his mind.

Oddly missing is ITSISK? I figured being a number one track in the UK it would have ranked higher
November 25, 2025 at 2:54 PM
Nope. I dug my heels in. I was going to understand this new sound. I became familiar with Nile. Besides, Andy and Roger would be back for the next album. Right? Right!?!? Andy? Roger? Hello?

Such a weird time in my life. The fab five were no longer and this new sound took me a long time to accept. Probably the first time I ever realized that there’s never a forever thing

Okay? Also, this sounds kinda hot 🤷‍♂️

I wish this recording would get an official release. Audio and video
November 22, 2025 at 7:23 PM
Thank you for doing this. I like coming here to see what people think and what is going on with the band. I do wish there were more people participating like in the old Twitter days before the dark ages

Prosecute every single one.

Every. Single. One.

It truly is a great follow up to ITSISK, Seven and the Ragged Tiger, A View to a Kill, and Wild Boys. The music flows right along with the sound from that time period. I've always called it "high 80's". Power Station and Notorious broke this vibe they had going.

I play a song or two from this album every day. My tattoo is based on the great @malcolmgarrett.bsky.social artwork for parts of the album & singles. I proudly display a framed poster in my front hall for all my guests to admire & ask questions about the best album ever made.

Turned this off almost immediately.

It kept skipping half a song.

This feature is garbage and I can’t believe they’re expanding on it #AppleMusic

People are strange

Maybe your Duran posts offended them 🤣😳🙄
November 7, 2025 at 3:28 PM
Oh yes. This album right here was top of my favorites for a good 5 years. I still play their best of album a bunch.

It’s bothersome that #AppleMusic can’t get them an artist page that isn’t cluttered with other artists called King

Take your hair dryer, blow them all away!

I really like Violence of Summer as well as Serious. The piano in the beginning is distinctive and I love the off key wind-down at the end.

Perfect timing though
