I'm a kernel (?) and I have too many threads (tasks and projects) in user space (my brain) and I need to start closing (finishing) them faster than I create new ones (jumping to the next shiny project) 😩

After a year and a half of using Firefly III for budgeting and tracking my finances, I'm making the switch to using Actual Budget.
FFIII is great, but it has many shortcomings that AB doesn't. (e.g. returns are ruin budgets, "piggy banks" are per bank account, and more)

I learned two new ways of folding socks (a square that displays the design, and a compact roll).

Watched @architectofgames.bsky.social’s latest vid on how optimization instincts paradoxically reduce fun in games. So, I've intentionally changed how I define fun in Balatro: no restarts, focus on new (even bad) combos. Had a blast and finally beat Gold Stake for the first time! :DD

Watched @architectofgames.bsky.social’s latest vid on how optimization instincts paradoxically reduce fun in games. So, I've intentionally changed how I define fun in Balatro: no restarts, focus on new (even bad) combos. Had a blast and finally beat Gold Stake for the first time! :DD
Just finished the book "Algorithms to Live By". Really enjoyed it! Has some fun applications of CS to real life, not all of them are useful but some are real, actionable, advice.
It made me reflect a lot about theoretical things I'd learnt but never really related to real life.
