It's actually literally NOT a highway. It stopped having that designation back in the late 90's, but we haven't changed the name. It's been ~30 years and we still treat it like a highway. We could purge the west three lanes, and redistribute the four north-bound lanes into a regular-sized road.

It's not just travel lanes that make inhuman spaces. This short block next to St Johns, 200m from Moody Centre bus loop cannot be safely used by pedestrians (note the black truck in its driveway on city property behind the construction eqpt).

In Port Moody there's also this 50km/h 7-lane stretch of road with two concrete island barriers, with a 2-lane road right next to it. At least there's a skytrain line in the picture to move people by quickly.

No, I have not found such a thing. The source I linked does break down the quarterly BEV/PHEV ratio on a national level, but not a brand level. Generally it's been ~80%BEV ~20%PHEV. I'm sure certain brands (e.g. Tesla, Toyota) have vastly different ratios than the national.

He scored, but because of how soccer is played, it didn't count.

Montreal won it in the 132nd minute. Making this the second longest professional hockey game in Montreal's history (longer than any Habs game ever). The series is now tied.

Have you read Nathan Pachal's take on how this map may not be rooted in or validated by lived walkable experience but rather merely KPI theory sfb.nathanpachal.com/2024/10/metr...
Metro Vancouver Walkability Map Doesn't Make Sense
A blog on transportation, urban planning, environment, and other issues that affect the livability in the South of Fraser.

This is such a positive visual from that presentation. The maturity of our metro really is flourishing.

It's progressing.

Yes, but how does it score on the pupperauto scale? (Ratio of dogs to cars that are viewed while sitting at the patio)

It's time for our governments to leave that platform. There are not many people in my life that still support that corporation, and it's important that our governments also reflect that.
