Kinda amazing how Beltran has gained steam as more ballots have revealed. At first he didn’t seem to get a lot of bumps, but it’s turned into a full stampede. Fingers crossed for him at 6:00 PM.

I didn’t take Spanish in school and am studying now at 50. When I learned the pronunciation, I was hooked: Coke-ah-YEEN-ah. It just rolls off the tongue beautifully. Hoping to get a Cuban card of him: Caramelo Deportiva, Acebo, Colecciónes Victoria, Almanaque Deportivo, whichever set he is in.

In fairness to Cone (full disclosure: one of my faves), all claims were resolved out of court or dropped or amended to remove sex stuff. Doesn’t necessarily mean the claims were untrue b/c legal systems & rich white guys…but it needs saying.
