I noticed Gachiakuta was kinda popular in the US, but in Mexico basically no one talked about it, which is actually kind of fun. Our theory is that if something is popular in the US /Canada it won't be as popular in Latin America and vice versa, and we are trying to prove it... With cosplay

What I'm trying to say is that maybe it's because I'm old, but I see this hobby as a way to express myself, but also as a great chance to meet people with the same interest as myself. I don't wanna be popular. I don't wanna compete. I just wanna dress up with friends

I tend to isolate myself and work on my stuff privately, but I wish I had more courage to interact with others without letting my fears speak first.

I tend to isolate myself and work on my stuff privately, but I wish I had more courage to interact with others without letting my fears speak first.
I've talked a lot about how cosplay is mostly what you make out of it and how nice is to find people who have the same view of cosplay as you, but even if I really want to interact to others and make friends I find myself too tired or scared to invest time on that.

I'm tired of the transactional vibes cosplay has been giving recently. I, ngl, am also tired of the pretty priviledge, the bigotism,. the constant racism, the need to be "better than the rest", and also the pressure of "being someone".
