Yeah, and Elanga will be more effective in that game

Personally I don't think it's a stretch to say a player can develop his game and make improvements as he gains experience especially when learning a new managers' systems

Right now perhaps not but Elanga definitely has a much higher ceiling than Murphy and learning from the likes of him, Barnes and Gordon will elevate his game to the next level.

It would be lovely if he gets off to a flyer, Eddie doesn't normally throw new signing right in there so he must see something in this guy. Not that he has many options at CF.

It's about options, in an open game against a team that will push higher and try to come at #NUFC Elanga will be first choice every time. Against the low block we expect from Wolves Murphy's crossing is going to create more chances.

Switch to Brave browser from Chrome and get Ublock Origin if you're on desktop. That'll fix the ad issue

So much noise around it right now. Reports in Sweden yesterday said Norwegian media were saying the deal is done but then word came out that was based on a random tweet. Very few know what's really going on. #NUFC

hahaha yes!

Yeah players get attached to numbers. I was just thinking about how Mitro chose at #nufc 45 because it equals 9.
August 30, 2025 at 10:56 AM
Honestly forgot I'd even said this or I'd be reposting it all over #NUFC to show off my scouting credentials

The Bruno, Sandro, Isak deals felt transformative due to where we were. They were replacing the likes of Hayden, Ritchie and Shelvey. It gets harder to make those big moves in the market when you have a lot of quality. But you're right Woltemade definitely feels like a big project player. #nufc

That's what everyone said about Isak too though. #NUFC
August 28, 2025 at 5:40 PM
That's part of the problem though isn't it? 20 goals plus is Golden Boot territory and considered Elite. Elite is £100 million + now so maybe average is £50+ now. Sesko scored 13ish goals in a much weaker league and cost what £75 million? Money in football has gotten completely out of hand.
August 25, 2025 at 4:22 PM
Probably not worth £60 million even in today's inflated market but to flip that how much would you pay today for Prime Demba Ba? His best season in the PL was with #NUFC and he only scored 16 goals.
August 25, 2025 at 4:10 PM
Has to be noted here that pre take over the last time #NUFC had a single player bag 14 goals in a season was Loic Remy in 2014/15. 14 PL goals in a season is very good, especially in a poor side.
August 25, 2025 at 3:56 PM
Yeah but you can definitely make the case that there's no bad publicity. The more #NUFC are featured in the media the more global brand awareness is created.
August 24, 2025 at 12:09 PM
You've got a point. For all that a bunch in the media and rival fans love to call us a "small" club none of them have been able to keep the name of #NUFC out of their mouths all summer not just about Isak. Agents and journo's know they can use NUFC to drum up interest in players.

I'd expect it to be one of Watkins or Wissa, Isak stays until at least January when we go for Woltemade, Strand Larsen or some other unknown younger striker that emerges between now and then.

This is already against premier league rules. 3rd Party ownership was banned in 2007 in this case it's worse due to BlueCo/CFC being related parties. www.premierleague.com/en/news/597665

Isn't this exactly what West Ham got in major trouble over with the Carlos Tevez deal? Someone needs to take a long hard look at CFC's dealings. They spent half a season with no Kit sponsor and still manage to be the highest spending club year after year.
