Made my first trip out to the Nassau Coliseum in ages last weekend, for the opening of the Long Island Nets’ season. Filled in with the scoreboard on opening night, and did a rare bit of broadcast work on Sunday, filling in on one of the handhelds.

Also, show the hell up for the openers, because you never know where you’ll find your next favorite band. They play just as hard as the headliners and are just as deserving of your time. Skuff Micksun & Blake Cateris both killed their sets. Go listen to them now & thank me later

Caught @wearepetneeds.bsky.social in Brooklyn on Monday, during their first time touring as headliners in the States. Been listening to them for a couple years now, and they kick ass. So glad I finally got to catch them live.

The footage may not be anything mindblowing, but, having only photographed a handful of launches and never tried shooting video, I’m still very happy with my attempt at it.

Throwback to Starship Flight 7, when I hung out with EJ, Gene, & Das at the @nasaspaceflight.com long-range tracking site, and made my second ever attempt at tracking a launch. Never got around to posting this, but V2 wrapping up today felt like a good time to dig it up.

Remember when @elysiasegal.bsky.social & Das got to try on a space suit? Well ILC Dover Astrospace is back with the Intrepid Air & Space Museum to talk more about their design and how they relate to the atmospheric diving suits used for deep water work on today’s Astro Live!

Made a couple rare trips up to the Bronx this week to fill in with the scoreboard on two NYCFC matches that had been rescheduled from earlier in the season. Always a nice surprise to get called up for the occasional gig at Yankee Stadium.

Out in NJ yesterday working the video boards at the PLL Championships. Only wanted the tv feed, so I got to just play around with learning tight follow. Turns out covering lacrosse is a blast and is now on the list of sports that I wish I could break into covering for broadcast.

Alice Isn’t Dead randomly dropped a bit of audio today with absolutely no context and y’all, when I tell you that I’ve never clicked a notification so fast… Is it only old audio that just finally rattled its way out of the internet pipes or is there more to be told about Praxis & Thistle?

Growing up, I never thought I’d get to even set foot inside the NBL, so getting to see how everything works first hand was a dream come true. More people need to know about the hard work being done at the NBL, and it was a privilege to help share even a tiny bit of their efforts.

The passion and commitment of everyone we met there was incredible, and it was deeply humbling to see how invested everyone was in their mission to not only teach these astronauts how to work on EVA outside the ISS, but to also ensure their safety during these training sessions.

I’ve done a bunch of Intrepid Museum Astro Lives with Das & Elysia, but this one was special. @nasaspaceflight.com took the show on the road this week to bring y’all on a virtual field trip to NASA’s Neutral Buoyancy Lab. ICYMI the whole stream is up here youtube.com/live/Ld03IUrzG6Q

This stream was a blast and genuinely some of the most fun I’ve had in my entire career in broadcasting. I can’t thank the ILC Dover Astrospace folks enough for taking time out of their week to let us come in and show off just a bit of their hard work.

Earlier this week @nasaspaceflight.com was invited to visit the ILC Dover Astrospace Houston suit lab, where Elysia & Das got to jump in their new, rapidly configurable, prototype commercial space suit. Full stream’s up on the channel, ICYMI youtube.com/live/4N5PjBCbQRU

All the Fireflies I’ve met have been fantastic people, and the passion they all have for what they do is incredible. It’s a true privilege to play a tiny part in covering their hard work, and I remain eternally grateful to the fine folks at @nasaspaceflight.com for the opportunity.

Wanted to celebrate @firefly-aerospace.bsky.social going public yesterday by sharing some set photos from Flight 6 that never got posted. Haven’t talked about it much, but getting to serve as floor manager for the last three launch broadcasts has absolutely been one of the highlights of my career.
