Foxes... What's not to like? Just about every furry writer has one between the covers (sheets?)

I normally write about fauna native to South Africa, which does not include those lovable auburn chicken thieves. But I decided to make good by including not one, but two foxes in "The Rewilding"!

I'm in the process of digitizing some 16mm film. Looking them over, some might say, "Ah, the good old days!" I say, "Dead, old, broken, gone." As fascinating as these are, none of the animals in these videos are still alive. Only a small number of the smallest kids here are still around. Probably

I received this email on Goodreads from someone I only received a friend request from earlier today. Seems a bit vague? Has anyone happened on something similar? Sus?
I’ve been wandering through the author pages here on Goodreads, and yours caught my attention. It’s always a pleasure to come across another writer who seems to be quietly shaping their own small corner of the world through words. I’ve long believed that no two writing lives ever look alike. Some begin in classrooms, others in the hush of early mornings before work, some out of grief, and others from a sudden joy. However it starts, the act of writing becomes its own kind of companion. I sometimes think about what first drew me to the page, how it wasn’t a single moment, but a gradual unfolding, as though the stories had been sitting in the room, waiting to be noticed. I wonder how it was for you. Was there a turning point, or did it happen slowly, almost without your realizing it? And now, after you’ve been at it for some time, what is it that keeps you returning to the work? For me, it’s still the mystery of human connection, the quiet gestures, the small misunderstandings, the moments of grace that pass between people almost unseen. I’d love to hear what writing means to you these days, and what continues to call you back to it.
