45/47 said the new White House ballroom “won't interfere with the current building. … It will be near it but not touching it.” Hah. The entire East Wing was demolished. And how long before the West Wing follows in order to have symmetry in the palace complex.

At the ICE checkpoint in Cedar Rapids, IA, this morning there were maybe 200 protesting and lots of media. Some police looked to be in riot gear.
No one in the high-risk check-in families were detained while the rally took place, but I heard that, later, four were detained.

Today is the birthday of our US Army. I’m grateful for the sacrifice of all who serve our country well. Im not ashamed to protest an increasingly overreaching executive branch, but I can do two things at once. Here is an inadequately small bit of space in my day to honor our troops who give so much.

Sign is almost ready for tomorrow’s Hands Off rally in Iowa City. In the morning when the yellow background paint is dry, I plan to outline the white letters in black sharpie, and I might add a disclaimer at the bottom: “Not paid for by George Soros.”
