They're hardly used at all, a criminal oversight. 25 yrs worth of broadcasts online, hundreds of interviews from Lesley Gore to Wadada Leo Smith, deep dives into entire discographies, polymath DJs including Tommy Boy's ex-pres Monica Lynch and YLT's Ira Kaplan, and zero interest from researchers.

What is your course?
Titled "Music in History" but actually music history from community freeform radio perspective, based almost entirely on WFMU radio archives--from Thomas Edison's Attic cylinder recordings show to GenAI appropriation of the Free Music Archive. Workshopping my book with 45 students basically.

Hope so too! I may still use McWhorter piece + clip from The Encampments doc with the protest noise. And then a bit from a WFMU broadcast the day after the piece where a DJ commented on how ridiculous it was to forbid 4'33" because of extraneous noise when the piece was designed precisely for that.
