Means testing can be solved by just taxing the high earners the value of the kits. A euro a month should be more than plenty to cover it over the course of a lifetime.

Means testing also costs tax dollars. Wouldn't want that.

The point is everyone should get this, not optional.

This is real dystopian stuff.

Such a shame that I can't escape the MS ecosystem at work :(

They gotta make the most of it while they still can of course.

How did you get the shading on e.g. the apron in the last step?

Literally what did he order if not that?

It's not illiberal. Other people playing music or videos out loud in public transport prevents me from enjoying my own music or videos, infringing on my liberties, even though I have headphones. People should just wear headphones or earplugs or whatever.

Last time I pointed this out to someone on a Dutch train I got a death threat, while it wasn't the first time it landed me a death threat, it is the last time I pointed it out.

I'll take motivation. I keep jumping to completely different things every time, and at times feel like doing nothing creative at all.

The manual for my machine says to put on like 4 or 5 rounds manually and cut off excess using a knife built into the machine for the purpose of trimming bobbins.

A lot less elegant of course

Others have pointed out that the story you're proposing is about a different place.

It gets better; this seed vault isn't one of a kind. Lots of places have their own seed vault, or even shared vaults, this one is just in a cool place where almost every country shares the vault.

I remember someone saying that you don't get wiser as you age, you just run out of dumb shit to do.

What's a fish person?

I used to do everything by hand and then you're just gonna see the stitches, but with machine sewing you're not gonna see, tho bad habits die hard I guess.

Can vouch for this. I got a 4x4" for cheap second hand because I wasn't willing to fork over the extra cash, but you outgrow it so quickly.

I got mine (Brother SE400) on Marktplaats. It's a pretty decent machine for beginners; I'd never really used a sewing machine before this one.

You'll probably be looking at €700-800 for a new one.

I don't know what the best machine would be first hand, but avoid the Brother Skitch at all cost.
