The Soviet-Afghan War, which lasted from 1979 to 1989, began when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan to support a communist government facing internal resistance. This conflict resulted in significant casualties and contributed to the eventual collapse of the Soviet Union.

Let's hope the Ukrainian war leads to the collapse of present day Russia. I hope that ONE day the Russian people can know what it's like to be free.
