The homogenization has been happening for decades now. I remember being shushed when talking about how Alakazam absorbing half a dozen other mmo fandom sites back in the 90s was a bad trend.

Technically, Basic Redbox D&D? I may have become a bit obsessed when I learned that I could be the Bilbo or Thorin and live my own adventures as a kid. :D
