I tend to overthink what I draw and often forget how fun it is just to take a reference and enjoy making lines on a canvas. I was lucky to get photos of a friend by a friend and made them into an illustration. Meet いお - the character of this little story.

Paint over a recent life drawing session. I picked up 5, 10 and 15 min sketches to render to the same look. It was liberating have no reference image and only use information that’s on a sketch.

Summer vibes for Drink&Draw Tallinn pop-up exhibition. Had a day to paint and print it to submit in time. On one hand I wish I had more time to work on it, on the other I appreciate the deadline stoped my from endlessly fidgeting with rendering.
