Today, two bills were introduced in the North Carolina General (SB438 & HB500) assembly for NC to ratify the equal rights amendment. They could be the 39th state to ratify. It took NC 51 yrs to ratify the 19th amendment. It’s been 53 years since Congress voted to pass the ERA. How long??

On International Women’s day, let’s not forget the women that have gone before us, who fought for our right to be seen & have a voice in public & be able to make our own decisions. We also salute all of the women who are fighting for those exact rights today and who fear losing them.

On International Women’s Day, we salute the nurses! Nursing is the nations largest healthcare segment w nearly 4.7 million RNs! 89% of nurses are female & demand is growing. There is still a gender pay gap despite their being fewer male nurses! We need equal pay for equal work! #publishtheERA
