One liberty I'm taking in my writing is putting Emet-Selch almost anywhere I want him. Even before he's terribly involved in Shadowbringers, he's shown to be observing almost everything. He's in Eulmore when The WOL visits with Alphinaud. He's somehow wandering Syrcus Tower! I thought he morphed in.

I scrapped it. But I hope to explore G'raha's urgently made decision to lock up The Tower in my own Shadowbringers longfic. Aside from the allure of destiny, I see G'raha's decision as very rushed. He didn't get to read the terms & conditions on this Faustian bargain—it had an expiration date.

In my first drafts of the "G'raha Tia gets pulled to The First by The Crystal Exarch" fanfic, I fleshed out G'raha's adventure through MSQ. Towards its end, he lost his red Allagan eye. The game does call this blood gift "ephemeral," after all. This was fun to explore, but too much to get into.

I've been writing about, drawing, and taking pictures of my WOL for over two years now, but the first fic I'm publishing is about a nondescript female WOL that has as little characterization as possible.

Why?

Well, it's fun to write within limits. But also, Finia is not horny enough for me.
