Increasing longevity means nothing if we can’t increase the number of healthy years.

They can be, but they are also treatable with a lot of patience. :)

When I’m susceptible to VM I also get vertical nystagmus when lying flat on my back looking at the ceiling. That’s likely from the plugged superior canal on one side.

From other vestibular disorders: Classic posterior canal BPPV where the room spins (horizontal nystagmus) when you turn your head the wrong way. Vestibular Migraine (VM) triggered by falling barometric pressure-feels like my head is upside down underwater in the surf of rising tide.

I’m passionate about SCDS and vestibular disorder awareness. I’m bilateral, both sides successfully surgically repaired, but still have multiple other vestibular disorders.
