3D printed a new design! It made a 2-wall version of the outsert in Fusion based on the wonderful design by @mariinightingale.com and then printed it in gold filament. Definitely can't see through it but who needs that 🤤

Two 'infilled' outsert variants!
Upper: 0.1mm sparser 3D hexcomb
Lower: 0.3mm denser 3D hexcomb

More Schemes! Made an initial clone-of-clone in fusion which makes the "infilled" design a ton easier to make and modify as well as add things like text!

It's not a 1:1 tinted outsert but this is a prototype for an 'infilled' outsert. Using a modifier in the slicer to remove the perimeter from the middle region. Visibility on the inside is fairly good but difficult to photograph. Took ~4.5 hours for this one to print at 0.3mm layer height.

This is amazing! I wonder if something like this with a sparse infill could be use to effectively provide a tinted mask!
